Games and Sports Activities

Games and sports are an essential feature of a college of education because invariably teachers are assigned duties in a school related to this. In addition to the academic work with which a teacher is mainly entrusted, he has to develop the quality of physical fitness and character development, in his students as well.

Moreover, the added advantage is that we are running C.P.Ed. course also. Thus our Department of Physical Education provides all the required resources and guidance to the students. Various kinds of indoor and outdoor sports activities are regularly organized in our institution. Some of these are asunder :

• Annual Athletic Meet
• Volley Ball Competition
• Table Tennis Competition
• Cricket Competition
• Chess Competition
• Carrom Board Competition

Intra-college and inter-college matches and annual sports day celebration give the students ample opportunity to develop their talents and skills. According to NCTE norms each student must participate in at least one of the outdoor games. To fulfill this requirement sporting facilities are made available to all students under our Sports teacher and all students are expected to participate in all sports activities voluntarily. The college has enough stock of sports material and kits for all the games. Department of Physical Education organizes the activities smoothly through out the year.
